Our Guide to Gift Giving

Our Guide to Gift Giving : Shop Downtown Raleigh Edition

"Every gift which is given, even though it be small, is in reality great, if it is given with affection."  - Pindar

Where do we do our gift shopping? I spend the majority of my time out and about in Downtown Raleigh. When considering what to gift family and friends, I try to choose quality over quantity and to be thoughtful about what I decide to give. Here are my top picks for the DTR area where I think you can find range of gifts for everyone on your list while still supporting small and local. - Andy, designer Rise & Ramble

Start at Holder Home (612 W South St) for a mix of well curated finds, both new and old. Pop into neighbor Boulted Bread for a coffee to start your day or a fresh baked loaf for your dinner table. Head on over to Port of Raleigh (416 S McDowell St) for a selection of fun + functional designs that will inspire. Next walk over to Quercus Studio (210 Salisbury St) to see Lauren's beautiful handmade fine jewelry and objects, they also stock handmade knives from Horn & Heel. Then walk over to Brewery Bhavana and Shop (218 S Blount St), grab a quick bite and brew, then shop their mix of books, small gifts, and florals. You can also buy their beer as a gift to go!
